Bollywood actresses Divya Pallat, Jasmine D’souza, Diya Mirza, artist Brinda Miller and 20 other distinguished females are greeted with the ‘Women’s Achievers Awards’ via Young Environmentalists Programme in Mumbai at Powai in the glitzy ritual. The metropolitan witnessed twenty five deserving females to receive the coveted award via the Trust in connotation with Rodas Ecotel at Powai. On the evening of Women’s global daylight, Bollywood actresses Diya Pallat, Diya Mirza, Jasmine D’souza and artiste Brinda Miller on hand were present in the award ceremony arranged via Young Environmentalists Programme Trust one among the multitude of other praiseworthy females at Rodas hotel Powai located in Mumbai. Parents of artist Priyanka Chopra, her feather – Dr. Ashok and mother – Madhu Chopra were leading guests of the function.

In the appropriate curving green saree, artist Diya Mirza, the Honour guest congratulated the Trust for their attempts in the area of environment and alleged that she saluted the Young Environmentalists as well as truly believed if everyone makes even small stab then people living on this earth can all make this planet a better place. She also added that it is precious to preserve the Mother Earth. The 40-year-old actor is all put to work with Amitabh in Prakash Jha’s next “Aarakshan”. This is the second instance that both the actors will share screen space after the 2007 film “Eklavya: The regal Guard” “I fixed films cute much because of Amitji so it’s always an absolute honour to job with him and I’m glad I got another opportunity to get associated with him,” Saif told reporters here.  I love diya mirza, She is so sweet, god bless her a lot.

NDTV’s 12-hour telethon to support the organisation’s “Save Our Tiger” campaign, backed by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, has managed to generate donations of over Rs.4.86 crore. Campaign representative Bachchan, 68, along with NDTV’s Prannoy Roy and Vikram Chandra tinted the key issues of tiger conservation throughout the telethon.

Investment sponsor Hemendra Kothari donated of Rs.2.43 crore, while Bachchan donated Rs.28 lakh. The superstar also auctioned his Cartier watch and two pairs of designer eyeglasses which raised another Rs.845,000. “A year back when this campaign started, I felt honoured to be a part of it; and today I can see the efforts over the year bear fruit.

The donations from this 12-hour telethon would be of immense help in providing the infrastructure required for consistent operations and activities in tiger conservation,” Bachchan alleged in a pursue statement. Other well-known names like Bhaichung Bhutia, Abhishek Bachchan, Nitin Gadkari, Diya Mirza, Manish Malhotra, Soli Sorabjee, Priya Dutt too did their bit, as did trade chamber Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and corporates such as Westside, alleged a press statement.

Children of Hyderabad-based Chirec School raised Rs.220,000 for contributing to the campaign. According to Anish Andheria, director of Wildlife Conservation Trust, the funds raised through the telethon were sufficient to create and deploy 35 rapid response teams (RRTs) and swathe all the 38 tiger coffers in the country that are house to 1,411 vast cats.
